The Pin

Hurray, hurray, it’s Environment Day. But wait, don’t all start saving the whales and/or rainforests, at least not straight away, because there are lots of London-based cultural dates to save first. The whales can wait…

The Pin’s Terrific Comedy Bonanza, Leicester Square Theatre, 5 Jun (pictured)
Razor-sharp bi-wits The Pin‘s admittedly ‘Terrific’ comic extravaganza, captioned ‘A Night Of Fun And Ideas’, stars none other than the character acting likes of “actual taxi driver and nasal spray addict” Brian Gittins, rambunctious madman Nick Mohammed, and priceless Fosters Award winner circa 2011 Adam Riches. Details and tickets here.

Marnie Stern, The Garage, 5 Jun
Adoration-worthy guitarist-rockstar Marnie Stern places her amazingly titled (and, she says, “less nutso”) new LP, ‘The Chronicles Of Marnia’ in front of adoring fans tonight at Islington’s (The) Garage. Details and tickets here.

Mission Drift, The Shed at the National Theatre, 5-28 Jun
A Fringe First prize-taker back at Edinburgh Festival 2011, NYC theatre enthusasists The TEAM add snazz and jazz handsy panache to their acclaimed play. Its plot, which is rooted in American capitalism, is told via atomic blasts, a lizard ballet, and a score combining ‘Vegas’ glitz and old skool rock noise. Details and tickets here.
