It’s Spouse’s Day today… but don’t fear, singles, because it doesn’t take a marriage certificate or significant other to appreciate this summary of London’s cultural goings-on tonight…

Ben Target and Matthew Highton – Bear Hugging and Other Skills, Leicester Square Theatre, 26 Jan
Surrealists Ben Target and Matt Highton (aka “a charming rogue and his loveable fool” – I can’t say who’s who) make possible the apparently impossible in this cartoonish comic caper designed especially for kids. Details and tickets here.

Xfm X-Posure All Dayers, Barfly, 26 Jan (pictured)
Independent radio station Xfm ‘X-Poses’ a set of artists relatively new to the scene to the glare of the bright Barfly lights, deeming northern noise-ists Drenge, psychedelic band Temples, alt-pop trio Luls and folk raconteuse Nadine Shah (pictured) its official ‘ones to watch’ for the all-day duration. And much of the night thereafter. Details and tickets here.

The Price Of Everything, Camden People’s Theatre, 26-27 Jan
Playing on the penultimate night of CPT-based comedy/theatre collision Beyond The Joke (whose curators, Jenny Paton and Brian Logan, talked to ThisWeek about the festival in this Q&A), provocative comic Daniel Bye talks over the notions of value, worth and price… and gives away free glasses of milk. Details and tickets here.
