Pete Firman – Hoodwinker, Bloomsbury Theatre, 2 Feb
As seen on ITV’s ‘The Magicians’ (just you missed all his many Edinburgh Fringe shows), dashing card-wizard Pete Firman flaunts his slight of hand and, rumour has it, “an all-new box of tricks” in this, his half-laugh, half-awe inspiring new show. Details and tickets here. Plus we chat to the man himself here.

Be Like Water, Rich Mix, 2 Feb (pictured)
Co-commissioned by the Royal Opera House, at whose Linbury Studio it debuted late last year, visual artist Hetain Patel’s singular re-imagining of his Bruce Lee-idolising youth features “a duet, lots of text, interaction with video projections, and some northern factory talk courtesy of my dad”. Details and tickets here.

Dub Hop, Bedroom Bar, 2 Feb
The Culture Cuts DJ collective comperes a brand new night of dub/reggae amalgams, as will be punctuated by sets by Tru Thoughts signee Wrongtom, Brighton ‘riddim’ beatsmith Cut La Vis, and bassy hip hop crew Slick Minded Individuals. Details and tickets here.
