Doctor Brown

So it’s Monday again, and TW London, for one, has a severe case of the start-of-the-week blues.

But wait, what’s this deceptively weekend-esque set of comical and theatrical culture choices on the horizon? Why, we feel like it’s Saturday night again already…

TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES

Doctor Brown – Befrdfgth, Soho Theatre, 25 Mar- 20 Apr (pictured)
The “inspired lunacy” innate within clownish comic physician Doctor Brown’s 90% mute show ‘Befrdfgth’ earned him the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2012. But you probably knew that already. Either way, it’s proved so popular that he’s giving it this springtime re-airing. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES

The Woman In Black, Richmond Theatre, 25-30 Mar
At its most covetable thanks to the Daniel Radcliffe-starring film adaptation, Stephen Mallatratt’s play is almost as old as Susan Hill’s original ghost-tastic 1983 book (on which it’s based) and, with a 25th anniversary to celebrate (and that movie tie-up to cash in on), the West End classic is currently also touring the UK. Which means this week you can either see ‘The Woman In Black’ at its customary home in the West End (the Fortune), or if you reside even further west, the touring version is on at the Richmond Theatre. Double the screams I guess. Fortune Theatre info and tickets here, Richmond Theatre details and tickets here.
