Tenebrae – England’s Finest, Egyptian Room at Mansion House, 2 Sep
The Tenebrae Choir and British mezzo soprano Sarah Connolly stick it (in reverential tribute, that is) to the maestros of English classical composition, not least Vaughn Williams, Gustav Holst and Henry Purcell, with a recital of their very finest pieces, even singing a brand new commission by present-day great Judith Bingham.
