Cirque Du Cabaret

So, since May’s nearly at an end, here are several ways to say farewell to spring (and hi to summertime) in style…

Cirque Du Cabaret, London Wonderground, 31 May (pictured)
Cirque Du Soleil who? Tonight it’s all about the Cirque Du Cabaret, who are pitching at the Spiegeltent to present five late-night galas, each a chance to appreciate CDC’s singular comic/circus/burlesque-based allure. Details and tickets here.

Voices In Your Head presents… Russell Tovey/Miles Jupp/Thom Tuck, Pleasance Islington, 31 May
Deborah Frances White‘s slightly surreal brainchild format leaves a trio of comics – in this case ‘Him & Her’ everyman Russell Tovey, loveably odd Miles Jupp, and debonair Penny Dreadful Thom Tuck – to go head to (no) head with a faceless voice, who’ll provoke, cajole and question them till they can take it no longer. At which point the show’s over. Details and tickets here.

Nick Makoha – My Father And Other Superheroes, Southbank Centre, 31 May – 1 Jun
Writer, creative thinker and dad Nick Makoha talks parenting, pop, and superhuman strength in this candid all-ages (well, 11+) show, central to which is his personal tale of what it was like to be raised with no father. Presented as part of this year’s London Literature Festival. Details and tickets here.
