And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Siân Docksey – Interdependent Woman | 2Northdown | 23 Sep
“Siân’s Mum is worried about her. So Siân has told her she’s a successful stand-up comedian on a cruise ship. This is a show that aims to maintain that lie.” Like many you’ll see this month, this is an act that’s only recently been disporting herself up at the grand old edfringe. Expect “a new stand-up show about neoliberalism and being at sea from an avocado-carrying member of the millennial snowflake brigade”. Details here.

Hear Me Howl | Old Red Lion Theatre | 18-29 Sep
A new production from a promising team, dealing with some very interesting themes. “Jess is turning 30 when she presses pause on the conventional life she’s been living and joins a post-punk band. Sure, some might argue that punk is dead, others could say she should really stick to the day job, but the resounding concern is: shouldn’t she be settling down by now? From behind her drum kit, warming up for her very first gig, Jess lurches defiantly into an unknown future.” Find out more right about here.

Sleepyhead | Jacksons Lane | 23 Sep (pictured)
“It’s been a long day for Dad and he can hardly keep his eyes open. All he wants is for Baby to go to sleep so he can catch up on a little shut-eye too. Dad’s usually got some tricks up his sleeve to help send Baby off to the Land of Nod. But tonight, Baby has other ideas… As soon as Dad’s out of the way, Baby gets his hands on the magic top hat, and when his friend Rabbit shows up the fun and games really begin”. It’s Sunday, so that seems like a good day to throw one in for the very small people (age 2-5) and it’s a well road-tested one from Little Angel Theatre. Info here.
