And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Shackleton’s Cat | Canada Water Culture Space | 19 May
This tells the story of the voyage and destruction of explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship ‘Endurance’, destroyed on his trans-arctic expedition in 1915, and the subsequent tale of its inhabitants’ survival against all odds. The latest of English Touring Opera’s shows aimed at young people, suitable for those aged eight and over, great for a family outing. See this page here for more.

Sarah Kendall – One-Seventeen | Soho Theatre | 15-19 May (pictured)
The always bloody excellent Sarah Kendall – TW Editors’ Award winner, because we absolutely love her – has been on at Soho Theatre for a few days, but this is quite literally your last chance to see her, so quick, get over to this page here to book your tickets.

Funny Women Afternoon Comedy | The Bill Murray | 19 May
And speaking of funny women – well, one funny woman – here’s a whole line up of them, and a chance to go and spend some gloriously funny time with them. It’s hosted by this year’s Funny Women Awards winner Thanyia Moore and also features Jodie Mitchell and Jen Collier, Stephanie Browne and Kelly Ford. Details right about here.
