TW’s tipped events TODAY IN LONDON feature gentile comedian Miles Jupp, spectacular sketch experts Birthday Girls and Quint Fontana, and Minneapolis band Marijuana Deathsquads…

COMEDY: Miles Jupp – Is The Chap You’re Thinking Of, Ambassadors Theatre, 11-12 Feb
Mild-mannered TV wit Miles Jupp takes a bewildered bite of various pressing dilemmas in his life – hot drinks, having to have opinions, poor balance, aging, pants and other spicy topics – in a show billed simply as “a man, standing on a stage, talking about some things and ultimately aiming to cover the cost of his white goods”. Details and tickets here.

COMEDY: The Spectacular Spectrum Of Now, Star Of Kings, 11 Feb
Tonight’s contemporary take on a trad variety night – a feast of all kinds of film clips, live acts, and multimedia funnies – features kitsch sketch revellers Birthday Girls, lite-entertainment ‘legend’ Quint Fontana, stand-ups Wil Greenway and Mat Ewins, and character actress Katie Bridget O’Brien as her twisted alias Trishelle. Details and tickets here.

MUSIC: Marijuana Deathsquads, The Black Heart, 11 Feb (pictured)
Minneapolis ear-killers Marijuana Deathsquads – a ‘gang’ featuring Gayngs producer Ryan Olson, vocalist Isaac Hale and, occasionally, Har Mar Superstar and part of Poliça – mark up their first LP, un-divine tribute ‘Oh My Sexy Lord’ (honestly), which came out all the way back in January. Details and tickets here.
